Read first! How to experience this Demo

When you arrive, you are in Classic mode. Read this post, then the others in category The Storyverse. Then, Enter the Habitat Storyverse in Habitat:Homeplex. Then, read my novella The Salvation War.

the tool that dominates this page, ASTRA is a browsing tool for you to use. It’s the next generation WordPress search page. Just click on an item in a tree in The Orchard, skim each excerpts to the right. Click on the title or Read More… to read the full article, which opens in the new tab. My Stories are all short, it shouldn’t take you more than 1/2 hour to read the whole thing. If you’re really impatient, 5 minutes.

When you’re done with the story, then see my Simili MemeWeb and Athena Tree technologies at work.

Under the section that says Select a Tree Type,

  • choose Athena Meme – Type:Storyverse. Underneath, you will see…
  • Choose Tree with a bunch of buttons. The first is already selected for you. Each Tree button brings up a…
  • tree under The Orchard.
  • Each link of a branch in that tree is a popular tag. Taken together, your branch is a pathway. The further down the path you go, the more select the posts.

The trees are strange. I admit it. But my technology did automatically create what previously only humans could., each branch is made and posts assigned by logic and rules. Each branch is a pathway, each link a part of that path, and each post showing up to the right are relevant. The story, and all collection of web posts are a tangled knot of narratives, and each branch, or pathway, is a narrative chain.

Here’s An example, you have a Trumbull tree and a branch like this: Trumbull > Gilead > Zeke Salvation > ArchAngel.

  • Trumbull has every post for that tree. Its the theme and root for the tree and root for each branch.
  • Gilead has all posts tagged with Gilead and Trumbull.
  • Zeke Salvation has all posts tagged Zeke Salvation, Gilead and Trumbull and the last.
  • Archangel has the few that has Archangel and the other 3 tags.

This is not fabulous for reading my story, which is why I suggested you start off doing that in Classic mode. Athena demos a technology for creating a tree-based Internet archive of structure packets of knowledge called the Lexus, and many assortments of Lexi under a commoncontext a Lexicon. This is the foundation to build a Library and hopefully, someday, free Universities on.

So why did I use a SciFi Novelette to showcase my technology? It’s fun, a good read, it will get attention and since it is easy to comprehend, frees you from having to both figure out my technology and what the hell I am writing about. It’s also a great tool for me to continue developing this technology, since a story gives me an instinctive way to know if I am on the right track, meaning-wise.

Finally, why bother with this when we have AI?

That’s an absolutely fair question, and I need to justify all I spent 3 years, blind, building.

  • Discovery. Learning is as much what you don’t know what you don’t know as it is learning what you don’t know. AN AI is like a guy at a counter, he will go into the back room and return with the stuff you asked for, plus a few extras. That is great, but it would be better for us humans to wander down tangents of our own choosing. That is the difference between Discovery and Search.
  • A standard infrastructure.< Each proprietary, competing AI is siloed, and behaves like myriad brands of paper money or crypto-currency, while a standard shared by all behaves like the US Dollar. Many Lexi form many Lexicons, which are recombinant meaning AIs can specialize in a segment of knowledge, but each AI can relate to each other and the source, the Hive. This means all AI’s, projects, products, applications and crypto-currency can share a common parent block-chain/li>
  • The DNA of meaning. The MemeWeb technology combines both context and content. The context juxtaposes context in many combinations, with some layering. This is the backbone of a Human knowledge-base, a way of ordering nearly everything humans create online. This is treasure of equal value to archived content, The DNA of all human understanding.
  • An AI learning tool. AI can benefit from pathways too. In fact, if we fail to make Simili Trees useful and comprehensible for humans, they can increase an AI’s learning efficiency and effectiveness. Now that AI’s are still relatively rare, efficiency does not matter, but when we have millions competing to learn, every reduction in cost gives an AI an edge. Hard to believe, but my tech can help save the climate too by shaving energy consumption Worldwide.

Why did I go to all this trouble?

The state of the art in search is Google. Which tells you to type in keywords or ask a question. I just felt the Human Race needs a Tree-based discovery solution. And when I built just such a technology, many other, bigger possibilities opened up. I created a technology that we can bundle and make searchable all human knowledge posted on the web for the entire world, for now, and into the distant future.
